Looking closely at the Data

The graph above is the Mathematics PAT scores together with the expectation bands. At the left of the graph are the scores for the 10 year 3 children and the remaining 18 bars are the year 4's. Together there are 28 children in the class. After administering the IKAN test the majority of the students had to be JAM tested because they did not have sufficient number knowledge at stage 4. So, from all the summative and formative date I chose 5 children to be my target children for my Inquiry. The table below outlines my target children and also indicates the areas that I will be targeting in my planning and teaching. The focus areas were taken from each child's PAT item report and IKAN test.
